Why is my total dissolved solids (TDS) reading so high?
A TDS meter measures the total dissolved solids in your water - this includes both harmful substances (such as lead and chlorine) and healthy minerals (such as calcium and magnesium)
Santevia improves the quality of your drinking water through a two-stage process:
Stage 1: Filtration. Harmful contaminants are removed, thus reducing the TDS reading.
Stage 2: Mineralization. Healthy minerals are added, thus raising the TDS reading.
The result is water with a TDS reading that may be equal to or higher than your tap water.
Although TDS meters provide information on the concentration of dissolved solids in your water, they do not offer a complete picture of its quality. To accurately determine the quality of your drinking water, laboratory testing is necessary.
