The tap water where I live is considered "good quality". Why do I need a Santevia water filter?

Edited

To ensure that tap water is safe to drink - or potable - municipalities add a chemical disinfectant, chlorine. Chlorine kills harmful bacteria such as E.Coli and Giardia as well as other pathogens that can harm your health.

While this disinfectant creates safe drinking water, chlorine is not healthy to drink. It can damage healthy gut flora and gives water a poor taste and odor.

Additionally, water can pick up contaminants along the way from the municipal water treatment plant to your home. Heavy metals and other impurities can leach into the water supply from old pipes, and from industrial and agricultural activity. Heavy metals like lead, cadmium and mercury are toxins that pose a risk to your health in the long run.

Santevia water filters are tested to reduce chlorine, heavy metals, industrial chemicals and more, so you can enjoy clean, healthy, great-tasting water.
