Can I use my filter with softened water?

All Santevia products can be used with softened water. The efficacy of the filter will not be impacted.

Water softening is the process of removing the dissolved calcium and magnesium salts that cause hardness in water. A water softener in effect “softens” the water by capturing those “hard” minerals before the water flows through your home to be used. Hard water may lead to the buildup of limescale, which can damage plumbing systems. Consequently, some households opt to use water softening systems as a preventative measure.

Santevia reintroduces some minerals that softeners may remove. While these minerals may not be ideal for your pipes, they’re essential for your health and give water a smooth, fresh taste.
